Gregor the giant hunter

My name is Gregor and I’m a giant hunter. There are legends about giants all over the place, but one of them caught my attention above all others. The legend of the Colossus. This is not your typical giant, but one of a rare kind that is larger than normal - large enough to climb like a mountain. Legend says if you’re brave enough to do so, you can strike right where it’s weakest. So that’s what I did. I got to the top and struck a mighty blow and heard the Colossus bellow a great thunderous cry which echoed throughout the countryside.

But then, it took me by surprise - you see, this giant was smart. It started shaking itself like a massive hound after a bath. It shook so hard that I lost my grip and came tumbling down to the ground below. Normally that would be the end of the story, but I’m Gregor the giant hunter and I don’t go down easy. No, I picked myself back up and went at the thing again with my sword. But down on the ground my attacks were like pinpricks to the Colossus. I had to climb it again, but it didn’t give me the chance before it came for me! I was able to just barely dive out of the way before I was trampled!

In the end, I only was able to tell this tale by making my escape. This giant is smarter than other giants, but not as smart as I am, and is somewhat clumsy. So despite the giant being much faster than I am, I escaped by outsmarting it. I waited until it swung it’s great club at me and dove to the side. Then I laid in the mud and played dead. It wasn’t pretty, but it saved my life. The Colossus lost interest and thundered away.

Now, I bet you’re wondering, why am I telling you the story of my defeat? It’s because I need adventurers like yourself to take down this monster. I fought it once and lived, so you’re going to need my experience if you have any hope of taking it down. I’m not facing it alone ever again. So, will you come with me to take down the Colossus?

I will hunt the Colossus with you!

Great story. I love the Climbable Surface special trait of the Colossus. Nice touch.
