The Birthday Lord
The birthday lord asks a target if they brought them cakes and/or cremes. If the target did not, they must make a DC 13 Charisma saving throw. On a failure, the target scrounges through their belongings and gives one to the birthday lord, or if they cannot, becomes frightened for 2 minutes.
Actions
The birthday lord throws a tantrum, causing all creatures within 15 feet to make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, they take 1d8 psychic damage and must choose to either sincerely promise to get the birthday lord what they want or take an additional 2d8 psychic damage.
Any ponies in a 60ft radius from the birthday lord become hostile towards any creature who has not given the birthday boy what they want.
The Birthday Lord
Anyone, regardless of age, rank in society, or gender, can become a birthday lord. It happens more frequently amongst the nobility, which is why the condition is not more well-known. Perhaps this is a trick caused by the fae, but in the end no one is certain of what causes a normal person to degenerate into a rude, entitled, spoiled brat upon their birthday. This is more than just a simple lapse of judgement, however- it carries with it unusual powers.
While afflicted, the birthday lord looks to be in their pre-teens, wields a scepter and wears a crown and posh clothing, which appears seemingly from nowhere.
The best way to defeat a birthday lord is by outsmarting them. If stumped on how to respond to a joke, question, or situation, this might be enough to let the afflicted creature’s true personality, appearance, and behavior return, though this works best if they have been given a gift or promised something first.
