Dark Surge.

The maniac can activate the dark blood in it’s body, allowing it an extra action or bonus action on it’s turn. Once the action is completed, the maniac takes 5 (2d4) poison damage from the blood’s corruptive nature. The maniac can’t use this ability again until it has completed a short or long rest.

Innate Spellcasting. The vanquished maniac's innate spellcasting ability is Intelligence (spell save DC 13, +5 to hit with spell attacks). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
