Assassinate.

During its first turn, the assassin has advantage on attack rolls against any creature that hasn’t taken a turn. Any hit the assassin scores against a surprised creature is a critical hit.

Evasion.

If the assassin is subjected to an effect that allows it to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, the assassin instead takes no damage if it succeeds on the saving throw, and only half damage if it fails.

Sneak Attack (1/Turn).

The assassin deals an extra 13 (4d6) damage when it hits a target with a weapon attack and has advantage on the attack roll, or when the target is within 5 ft. of an ally of the assassin that isn’t incapacitated and the assassin doesn’t have disadvantage on the attack roll.

Actions

Multiattack. The assassin makes two shortsword attacks.
Shortsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) piercing damage, and the target must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw, taking 24 (7d6) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Light Crossbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, range 80/320 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 3) piercing damage, and the target must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw, taking 24 (7d6) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Poison Breath (Recharge 5–6).

The dragon exhales poisonous gas in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 21 (6d6) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Half-Dragon

A half-dragon is a hybrid that bears the qualities and characteristics of a particular variety of true dragon. Such draconic hybrids can be found with a humanoid, beast, giant, or even monstrosity lineage.

Mysterious Origins. How half-dragons have come to exist is a matter of some debate. Some assert they are the result of a mystical ritual involving the blood of a true dragon or were transfigured through some ancient magic lost to our mages. It is also possible that they are the offspring of a dragon morphed into another form and finding a mate. In any case, half-dragons strongly express the appearance and qualities of their heritage.

Extended Life. Dragons live centuries, with many being known to successive generations of humans in their territory. Half-dragons receive a portion of this blessing, growing old at half the rate of their non-draconic relatives. Half-dragon humans have reached well past one and a half centuries in lifespan.

Elemental Breath. Just as true dragons do, many half-dragons possess the ability to unleash a breath weapon. The nature and potency of this weapon typically mirror that of their draconic parent.

Draconic Qualities. Half-dragons tend to possess the personal qualities associated with their draconic nature. All tend to be inclined toward a self-assured over-confidence and are easily bedazzled by material wealth. Beyond this, they seem to vary by type. A half-copper dragon is likely playful and mischievous and a half-black dragon might have a characteristic disdain and contempt for others.

Half-Green Dragon Assassin

A draconic humanoid with deep green scales dressed in well-tailored studded leathers has a short sword at their side and a crossbow slung across their back.

A half-green dragon assassin is a deadly foe, though appearing at first glance to be an exotically reptilian, but otherwise ordinary, mercenary or rogue.

In and Out. They are, in fact, trained in the art of the quick kill. Between their Sneak Attack and Assassinate abilities, they are absolutely lethal in a first strike. If their initial strike fails, they are quick to slip away and disappear.

Poisonous Presence. The assassin’s poisonous breath weapon is enough to kill an easy mark and is an alternative when weapons are not available or a bloodless kill is preferable. They will also use their poison breath is they are forced to engage in a melee.
